卑诗省及温哥华市政府正合作将温哥华华埠申请成为联合国教育、科学及文化组织（UNESCO）的世界文化遗产。
2020年7月16日，卑诗省政府宣布拨款一千万元，设立全国首间华裔加拿大人博物馆。博物馆将会在温哥华华埠设立全省总馆，在卑诗省各地设立地区主馆和分馆，并且会设立网上平台和省内各历史地点的数码体验。
为了让公众率先体验博物馆，新组成的卑诗省华裔加拿大人博物馆协会将于温市华埠开设临时展馆。题为《一席之地》(A Seat at the Table) 的展览，透过华裔移民带来卑诗省的食物和餐馆文化，探索华裔移民史。这展览是与温哥华市政府、卑诗大学，以及温哥华博物馆 (Museum of Vancouver) 合作举办的。
