Richmond Vaisakhi Day Celebration Successfully Completed
Organized by WS Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society and Richmond Public Library, the Richmond Vaisakhi Day Celebration was successfully completed at Brighouse Branch, Richmond Public Library on April 5, 2019.
This event was one of the Discover World Cultures series, co-organized by WS Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society and Richmond Public Library.
With the most inspiring spirit, people from local communities as well great Vancouver area came and celebrated Vaisakhi day, the harvest festival, the traditional solar New Year for Hindus.
Writers, Poet, Community Leaders Wendy Jang, Gian Singh Kotli, Herb Bryce, Lozan Yamolky, Ashok Bhargava, Bill Marles, Caroline Low, Amrik Mann, Peiming Yan, Kaixin Waipo, Haiyang Tiankong, Lao Tong, Xuesong Wu, Chun Lin, Xinlei, Red Leaves and many more gather to share beautiful music, classic and original poems, the meaning and traditions of Vaisakhi, and enjoyed some festival food.
