Richmond Celebrate Asian Heritage Month - Asian Poetry Reading 2018
To celebrate Asian Heritage Month in Richmond, WS Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society, together with Richmond Public Library will organize "Richmond Celebrate Asian Heritage Month - Asian Poetry Appreciation 2019" event. Twenty selected poets and artists from local communities will join forces to present a series of poem recitation and cultural performances. Any Asian language is encouraged for this event. If you read a poem in a language rather than English, a brief English translation will be provided to help the audiences to understand. Your ethnic costumes are encouraged to wear to this event.
Create a poem (Asian themed, ideally no more than 500 words), or select a classic poem from Asian countries to read for this event, if you are interested, please email your original poem or your selected poem to info@wsisc.com.
