Call for Poetry Readers for 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival

The 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival, organized by Canadian Community Service Association (CCSA), sponsored by Tianyi Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., co-organized by Chinese Construction and Renovation Association of Canada, and iButler, will be held at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby on July 29.

CCSA successfully hosted the “2016 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 8th Vancouver Water Flashing Festival” with around 14,000 participants. The “2017 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 9th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival” reached more than 20,000 participants. It is expected that the number of participants for this year will also increase substantially.

 

In order to further promote culture exchange and multiculturalism, WS Multicultural Writers will do a group Poetry Reading as one of the performances for this festival, now we are calling for poetry readers for July 29. Work lunch is provided as our appreciation. The main activities for you to enjoy include but not limited to:

 

1. Participating in the opening ceremony;

2. Poetry reading;

3. Participating in group activities such as tug-of-war if you like;

4. Participating in the theme activities of the five major sections if you like: time travel - the past time, unique skills - folk artists, song and dance - traditional art, food - Chinese taste, Water Splashing - traditional festival.

 

Sophia Zhang, Chair of WS Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society, also a board of directors for Canada Community Service Association, is in charge of communication and media contact for 2018 Chinese Cultural Heritage Festival and the 10th Vancouver Water Splashing Festival.
